Proud to be the best performing retailer for meter reading
We're delighted to announce that new data released today by Market Operator Services Ltd (MOSL) has highlighted us as the best performer for up-to-date meter readings out of all national major water retailers (those with more than 5,000 meters).
The figures show we're the only large national retailer to have less than five per cent of its meters unread in a period of 12 months or less. To put that into context, we have more than 75,000 meters spread across the country.
MOSL has released the performance data to drive a step-change in tackling poor customer data quality in the retail market.
Lynne Stephens, our chief operating officer, applauds the move by MOSL in a bid to urge retailers to improve: "As a national retailer, processing the on-boarding of a new customer can be incredibly challenging when the previous retailer's data is not up to the standards of quality that we expect, especially when it's to do with the customer's meter," said Lynne.
"It can have a knock-on effect on the customer, who rightfully expects the switching process to be seamless and straightforward, but instead they may be left waiting while we try to obtain the correct data.
"We're really proud to have been revealed as the best performing national large retailer for meter reads. It's all down to our fantastic team who work tirelessly to ensure customer data is kept up-to-date at every opportunity available. We are committed to working towards our goal of ensuring 100 per cent of our meters are read every 12 months or less."
