water2business achieves carbon neutrality for the second year
water2business achieves carbon neutrality for the second year running following ongoing commitments to sustainability.
We are proud to confirm that for the second consecutive year, water2business has achieved carbon neutrality following a detailed assessment of our emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2, and selected Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) categories: 3.3 (fuel and energy-related activities), 3.6 (business travel), and 3.7 partially (employee commuting).
Working with Carbon Footprint™, a trusted partner supporting businesses to reduce emissions, striving towards the goal of Net Zero; we completed both market and location-based carbon assessments to build a clear picture of our environmental impact. The third-party verification reinforces the transparency of our results and strengthens our continued commitment to deliver positive change for our customers, our people and our planet.
Over the past year we have built upon our initial Carbon Footprint™ analysis by introducing smarter energy use, driving operational efficiency and reducing waste.
The emissions we are currently unable to eliminate have been offset through investment in local projects which support climate action within the South West of England.
We recognise that water2business is just one part of much bigger picture; however, through our actions and by working with our people, customers and partners, we aim to help drive wider change, building a more sustainable future.
“We recognise that climate action is a shared responsibility. Through transparent reporting, partnerships, and innovation, we’re committed to being part of the solution and creating a better, more sustainable future.” Andy Coates, Managing Director.
